Questions

The things people ask

If it is not here, ask. You will get an answer within the hour.

Asked and answered

How quickly will I hear back?

Within the hour, from a member of staff. Not an autoresponder and not a ticket number.

What is the minimum stay?

It depends on the dates. Minimum stays move with demand, and a gap between two bookings is often opened up for a shorter stay than usual.

The booking calendar always shows the current answer for the dates you are looking at. Any number quoted on a page like this one would eventually be wrong, and would turn away a guest we could have taken.

How much does it cost?

Rates change with the season and how far ahead you book, so the live price for your dates is on the booking calendar.

For corporate bookings and stays of a month or more, ask for a written quote instead.

Are pets allowed?

No, with the exception of service animals, which are always welcome.

Can I smoke?

No. The homes are non-smoking throughout, including any outside space.

Can I have a party or an event?

No. These are homes in residential streets with neighbours, and parties are not permitted.

A family gathering or a shared dinner is exactly what the space is for. An event is not.

Is the whole place mine?

Yes. Every property is let as a whole home. You are not sharing with the host or with other guests, and nobody else has a key while you are staying.

Where exactly is the property?

Each home lists its neighbourhood and nearest station, and the full address is sent once a booking is confirmed.

That is standard for short lets and it protects the property between stays.

Is there parking?

It varies by property, and each home page says which it is: some have parking on the premises, others are paid street parking.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Two options are offered at booking: a flexible rate that can be cancelled free up to a stated deadline, and a cheaper non-refundable rate.

The deadline and what happens after it are set out in full on the cancellation page, and are shown again before you pay.

Do you take company bookings?

Yes, invoiced to the company with a VAT receipt where applicable. Corporate and extended stays are quoted individually.

What if something goes wrong during my stay?

Call or message, and you will reach a person who can decide, on the day, without being transferred.

Something occasionally does go wrong. The commitment is not that nothing breaks; it is that you can reach someone who can fix it.

Ask us anything else.
